GeoTrust Code Signing Credentials™
for Java and Microsoft Authenticode
Enrollment Details
In order to purchase GeoTrust Code Signing Credentials for Microsoft Authenticode or Sun Java, you must complete the process described below:
Step 1: On the Code Signing Credentials for MS Authenticode, Sun Java or from this page, click the buy button. Then Complete and submit the enrollment form to GeoTrust. You will need to enter the following information during the enrollment process:
- Technical contact for person responsible for receiving and managing the certificate
- For Microsoft Authenticode certificates you will need to enter the required details for your code signing certificate
- For Sun Java certificates you will need to generate a private/public key pair according to your software instructions and submit the certificate signing request.
- Organizational contact who can verify the organization information and the certificate request
- A password that you will need to re-issue, cancel, or revoke your certificate
- Payment information including credit card number and billing contact
Step 2: Complete the identity verification process with GeoTrust. Your organization must meet certain "proof of existence" requirements. You may be asked to fax additional documents to GeoTrust. Click here for a list of those documents.
Step 3: We must verify you are authorized to submit the enrollment by placing a call to the corporate contact listed on the enrollment form. Note: this person must be different than the applicant and be in a management position, unless the applicant is an officer of the company.
Step 4: Once you have completed the identity verification process, you will be issued a Digital Certificate, including your full organizational name and your public key. When your certificate is approved and issued, you will be alerted by e-mail either containing the certificate or directing you to a URL where you will be able to pick up your certificate online.
