As of February 1, 2018, all newly issued GeoTrust SSL certificates are automatically submitted to Certificate Transparency (CT) logs. This proactive step ensures your certificates are ready for Google Chrome’s CT requirements that take effect in April 2018.
What This Means for You
Your GeoTrust certificates issued after February 1st automatically include Signed Certificate Timestamps (SCTs) embedded directly in the certificate. This means:
- No action needed – Your certificates are already CT-compliant
- Chrome-ready – When Chrome begins enforcing CT in April, your certificates will work seamlessly
- Enhanced security – Benefit from increased transparency and monitoring capabilities
